Awkwafina
Awkwafina was an American actor and musician. She began by releasing humorous, cleverly written lyrics in rap that dealt with topics like race as well as sexual orientation. Then she expanded her fans to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first music experience. She played the trumpet. Jazz, classical and hip-hop studies began when she was just a teenager. Following a focus on education, she was awarded a degree in journalism in college and a women's studies specialization. After graduation, her focus shift to music. The song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included on her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. It also contained songs that were viral such as body-positive Queef or the winking city tour New York Bitche$. The song was directly connected to The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her travel guide for 2015. Following a career that was successful as a musician, she chose to assume the role of an actor. Alongside early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films such as Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered a series of notable roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her EP "In Fina We Trust".
